Why do I need online backup?
The most important item on your computer is your data. Sixty percent of all users have lost work. (Pictures, music, documents etc.) It is essential your data is backed up and can be recovered. Even external hard drive can fail.
Common causes of data loss:
- Your hard drive wearing out. (these spin at 7200rpm)
- irus or Trojan infecting your computer.
- Dropping a laptop or it getting stolen.
- Accidentally formatting or deleting data from a hard drive.
Wintech now offers an automatic backup facility to backup your data online every hour without interrupting your work.
How does it work?
We install a small program on your computer which allows you to choose what to backup. The chosen data is then copied securely with your password and encryption to a remote secure data centre. (This centre is used by many banks etc)
Your data is then checked every hour when you are online and backs-up any new or changed data. This is totally automatic and 30 versions of any changed files are stored so you can always retrieve a previously backed up file. Once it is setup and configured you can just forget about it.
We can set this up for you without visiting your home/business.
How much does it cost?
Yearly cost for home users are £35 & vat for the first computer and £10 & vat for each extra computer in your home. (including children away at university)

How much storage do I get?
You get a massive 512 GB of online storage. (Extra available if required)
Where are my files stored?
Files are stored on your computer and in a military grade secure data centre.
How do I select what to backup?
When loaded, the program will suggest the important files to backup. You can also simply right click on a file or folder and select it to backup every hour.
What if I delete a file on my computer?
It will be stored on your online backup for 30 days.
How secure is it?
Very, data can only be accessed with a username and password. Military standards of security are used on the storage data centres.
